Lieder Ohne Worte: German Romantic Music For Cello & Piano - Duo Polaris
A constant fan-favorite, Duo Polaris, Kirill Kalmykov and Julia Haager, present Lieder Ohne Worte - a beautiful cello and piano program that will have you experience the resemblance of the cello's deep tone to the human voice and its intimate connection to the piano. It features two great masterpieces by Schumann as well as a selection of the most beloved Schubert songs. In addition, Duo Polaris is thrilled to showcase the world premiere of Calgary composer Peter Jancewicz's Sonata for Cello and Piano.

Art of the String Quartet - Inglewood String Quartet & Rolf Bertsch
Our last official concert of the 2015 - 2016 season finishes strong with this quartet of CPO musicians performing 2 of the greatest masterpieces of the string quartet repertoire, Haydn’s Quartet, Op. 77, No. 1 and Beethoven’s mighty Op. 132. They present the Art of the String Quartet and are joined by pianist, Rolf Bertsch, for Dohnanyi’s surging and brilliant Piano Quintet No. 1.
